WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN EXPERT?

An expert is someone who volunteers their time to listen to the ideas of students and teachers. Ideas aimed at changing small parts of the world through the development of a technological solution.

An Expert shares their knowledge, regardless of the field, and has professional market experience.

An Expert shares empirical knowledge, who questions, who advises, who suggests, who presents new perspectives, or validates others.

HOW TO BECOME AN EXPERT?

WHAT DOES THE EXPERT DO?

  • In the classroom, teachers and students may reach a point where they need a new perspective to advance with an idea, or want to create a new dynamic to boost motivation, or need knowledge in a specific area. That’s when they request an Expert through the Apps for Good platform.
  • The Expert receives these requests on the platform and, if it aligns with their area of expertise and they are available, he/she accepts the challenge and conducts an online session.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After registering on the platform, you only have to save your Username and Password and log in as often as you like. On the platform, you’ll have access to teachers’ requests and can accept the requests.

Once you accept a session on the platform, the teacher will contact you.

The sessions are online (via Teams or another platform) at your available times—you can do one session per year or one per week; there’s no limit!

The average duration of a session is 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • “During the Pitch sessions, I see excitement and motivation to share EVERYTHING about their apps. However, the challenge is to channel that enthusiasm toward the key aspects of the pitch. Once they understand the importance of that focus, their eyes light up with a new perspective, facing the challenge with renewed determination.”
